City Presbyterian Church

Melanie Cox - Neurodiversity Ministry Director

City Pres is a Christ-centered community located in the heart of Oklahoma City.

"We are committed to creating a space where all individuals and families are welcomed, known, and supported as they grow in faith and participate in worship together.
Our Neurodiversity Ministry is an integral part of that mission. Rooted in the Spirit of Equity, this ministry is dedicated to providing meaningful support, assistance, and inclusion for children and students who are neurodivergent—those with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other neurological variations. We believe that every person bears the image of God and is a vital part of the church body."

The Neurodiversity Ministry works to ensure that neurodivergent individuals and their families can fully engage in the life of the church. Through thoughtful accommodations, trained volunteers and contractors, and individualized care, we strive to remove barriers to participation and create an environment where all students feel safe, valued, and able to worship.

"At City Pres, we don’t see inclusion as an add-on—it’s a gospel imperative. All families should have the opportunity to come before God in worship, experience community, and grow in faith, regardless of ability or difference."
