Rene' is the director of the Oklahoma Autism Network (OAN) at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She has been with the Department of Rehabilitation Science since 1999. Rene' has worked with families and their children with disabilities, including autism since 1993 through early intervention, school-based services, and in clinical settings. She is the co-principal investigator for the ConnectedKids program, a parent training program for parents of young children with autism. Through her work with OAN she focuses on improving the quality of life for Oklahomans affected by autism through research, training, and advocacy. She chairs the Oklahoma Family and Interagency Autism Council, is a member of the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Panel for Developmental Disabilities, and serves on the Developmental Disabilities Services Advisory Committee for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
